Dear Jericho Library Community,

Great news! The new year brings us closer to the completion of needed Jericho Library building updates and repairs, all being paid for with existing library capital funds.

Our progress to date includes the added safety of a new guardrail and streamlined center island in the rear parking lot, and updates to the theater which include new carpeting, aisle lights, additional safety railings, and comfortable seating. We look forward to Jericho patrons enjoying many future performances and events in this space.

This spring, old and leaking windows will be replaced throughout the building and the second- floor computer area will be expanded with additional seating for patrons. Please check our website (www.jericholibrary.org) for Work Zone updates and to see our progress.

Our continued goal is to maintain efficient and effective operations while providing the high-quality programs and services that are important to the Jericho community. With this objective in mind, the Jericho Library Board of Trustees respectfully proposes a budget for the 2024-2025 fiscal year that falls under the tax cap and reflects a 1.63% increase to the tax levy. The budget is available for viewing on our website or a copy can be picked up at the Reference Desk.

Our friendly and helpful staff are here and ready to assist you to make your visit easy and rewarding. Let us help you navigate our building, access the information and resources you need, provide you with your next great read and help you further your pursuit of lifelong learning. Attend our exciting community events and activities and make connections with your fellow community members. Have your teen join our Teen Advisory Board and develop their leadership skills. Bring the whole family and spend quality time together in our Children’s Room. Join us for a lecture or concert geared for adults. There is something for everyone at the Jericho Library. You can keep up to date on library news by subscribing to our newsletter and by following us on social media.

It is a privilege to serve the community and we thank you for your support and continued patronage. The Jericho Public Library Board of Trustees, myself, and our dedicated staff will continue to deliver exceptional service to all.
